You will never be bored when Tomaš Černy is around. This man, full of energy and unrepeatable jokes, was at the very start of the concept of Dejvicka34 - from the first idea, throughout the concept creation and up to its full realization. So it wouldn't be fair to call him only our chef. You are sure to meet him in the restaurant, not only in the kitchen.
Tomaš has developed his cooking skills at the famous Ambassador Hotel, not surprisingly, his interest in food goes back to when he was a boy, he liked to eat and tried to cook on his own at a young age. He prepared his first dish – his favorite segedinsky gulaš – when he was only twelve years old. In his professional life he was lucky to meet people who led him and worked together with him. Just to name a few, the charismatic Vito Mollico (first chef of the Four Seasons Hotel in Prague), who had a great impact on receiving a Michelin star for the Allegro restaurant or restaurateur Riccardo Lucque who trusted him to become the chef of the La Finestra In Cucina restaurant from the very start and in seven years it became one of the most popular Italian restaurants in Prague.
Apart from that, Tomaš likes leading cooking schools and teaching the art of cooking to both enthusiasts and professionals. He himself is constantly learning and polishing his cooking skills at international courses and cooking schools, for example the Il Piastrino restaurant in Italian Pennabili or in the Landhaus Bacher in Austrian Wachau. His friendship and cooperation with Michelin star holders as Stefano Ciotti, Lucco Pompili, Moreno Cedroni, Chris Arkadieff or Riccardo Agostini has been of great value for his professional development.
